After some testing, I found that the above fix I mentioned didn't work. But what did work was removing any spaces in me and my friend's usernames. So if none of the fixes online work for you, check that. In story mode it's classic with time limits and survivors and cases. One good thing to note is off the record has cut more than half the loading time of DR1 and 2 and there are checkpoints at every new area you load in.
